Job Title: Deputy Manager – Procurement

Job Purpose:
The Deputy Manager – Procurement is responsible for supporting the procurement of raw materials, finished goods, trims, and packaging for fashion retail operations. The role ensures timely sourcing, cost optimisation, vendor management, and alignment with seasonal buying and merchandising calendars to support business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end procurement of fashion merchandise, trims, fabrics, and packaging materials.
- Coordinate with design, merchandising, and production teams to understand seasonal requirements and ensure timely procurement.
- Execute purchase orders, negotiate prices, and manage lead times to ensure on-time delivery.
- Source and evaluate new vendors to expand supplier base and reduce risk.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors to ensure consistent quality and performance.
- Conduct vendor audits and performance reviews.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
- Monitor market trends to identify opportunities for cost-effective sourcing.
- Collaborate with the supply chain and logistics teams to track inbound shipments and resolve delays.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure alignment with production and retail needs.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and sustainability practices.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and vendor documentation.

- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Knowledge of fashion retail supply chain and procurement cycles
- Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Proficient in Excel and other MS Office tools
- Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills
- Attention to detail and organisational skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Fashion Management, or related field
- 4–6 years of experience in procurement within the fashion or retail industry
- Postgraduate diploma or certification in supply chain or procurement (preferred)
