Position Title: Manager Fabric Sourcing
Reports To: Director Operations & Sourcing
Location: Head Office
Job Summary:
The Fabric Sourcing Manager will be responsible for managing the procurement of fabrics for apparel production. This role requires strong knowledge of fabric properties, market trends, supplier management, cost optimization, and maintaining effective relationships with textile manufacturers, suppliers, and internal teams. The individual will ensure the sourcing of quality materials at competitive prices while meeting the production timelines for the apparel industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1-Fabric Sourcing:
- Identify, evaluate, and procure fabrics from local and global suppliers, ensuring quality and cost efficiency.
2-Supplier Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with fabric suppliers, negotiate prices, and manage performance.
3-Cost Optimization:
- Drive cost-effective sourcing, budget forecasting, and manage fabric pricing negotiations.
- Should possess a strong grip on eastern wear fabric costing
4-Quality Control:
- Ensure fabric meets required specifications and industry standards.
5-Coordination:
- Work closely with design, production, and logistics teams to align fabric sourcing with production timelines.
6-Sustainability:
- Align sourcing practices with sustainability goals and ensure compliance with environmental and ethical standards.
7-Fabric Development:
- Must have grip on Yarn knowledge and fabric development
- Stay updated on fabric trends and innovations to support product development.
Qualifications:
1-Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Textile Technology, Fashion Design, Apparel Production, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Master’s degree is a plus.
2-Experience:
- ·Minimum 5-7 years of experience in eastern wear fabric sourcing within the apparel industry.
- ·Strong understanding of fabric qualities, types, and sourcing practices.
- ·Proven experience in negotiating with fabric suppliers.
3-Skills:
- ·Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- ·Analytical skills with the ability to assess market trends, fabric quality, and supplier performance.
- ·Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and fabric sourcing software.
- ·Knowledge of sustainability practices in the textile industry is highly desirable.
- ·Fluency in English is required; knowledge of other languages is a plus.

Working Conditions:
